Tumbled Basalt Cobbles 

Innovative and appealing, this is block paving in stone. Each piece is precisely machined to a constant depth and width so that it can be laid with the speed of block paving. Pieces are cut to random lengths to ensure that the overall effect is slightly random like traditional cobblestones.

The surface is flat enough to play basketball on or wheel a pushchair with small wheels. Just as with block paving a solid edge is required, when this is in place the basalt is laid in properly prepared sand over a compacted base.

The laying time of these tumbled basalt setts is a fraction of the time required for traditional cobbles and no pointing is necessary with obvious savings at each step.
