Fossil Mint sandstone is unusual and highly variable in colour. If there is a colour that appears in this natural calibrated sandstone more often than others, it is the pale mint green. However yellows, browns, reds and even purples are evident in this natural sandstone. The black fern-like fossils are, sadly, not true fossils, but frost-finger like mineral deposits exposed when the stone is split.
